What’s the difference
between lactation meal and recovery meal?
All meals served by ReLacto are recovery meals, as we planned them with our in-house dietitian to incorporate food ingredients with healing nutrients (e.g.: Iron, Vitamin C, Vitamin B Complex and Vitamin A), which help promote wound healing, help the body develop red blood cells, and support a good immune system. Our meals are also high in protein, which is the foundation of supporting wound recovery. Hence, on top of postpartum mothers who are recovering from childbirth, our recovery meals are also suitable for adults who are recovering from common surgeries, provided that they get consent from their doctors.
Meanwhile, if you’re a breastfeeding mother who is looking to have our meals to support your breast milk supply, we will incorporate lactogenic ingredients like green papaya, fenugreek, and fennel in your meals.
Upon booking, you’ll have the option to choose between a “Recovery Meal” and a “Lactation Meal” in the booking form, and our Customer Service Officers will call you to confirm your meal details again once we receive your booking.
-
What if I do not
consume
certain ingredients in your menu?
You can inform us in advance regarding which ingredients that you wish to exclude from your meals. We will make the necessary replacement and arrangement.
-
Does your food
contain
alcohol?
Yes, our food contains alcohol to provide heaty properties for the dish, however, the alcohol content is boiled before it is then mixed into the food. If you are allergic to alcohol, do let us know and we will make changes on your meal.
-

suitable
for breastfeeding mums?

SLB Lactation Bakes
-
How does the SLB
lactation bakes work?
Breastfeeding and economics share the same concept, there's a law of supply and demand. When you breastfeed more often, your body will respond by producing more breast milk as well.
SLB treats help by stimulating your let down sensation. Do keep in mind to latch or pump immediately whenever you feel the let down at any point in time. By doing so, your body will respond to the need to make more milk as there is “demand”.
-
How long would it
take
for the bakes to work?
The effects of these treats vary between individuals. Some mothers might experience a drastic increase in a few hours, some might take four to five days while others might experience the change after one or two weeks.
For the best result, consume 8 to 10 cookies per day with 1 or 2 muffins per day to boost breast milk.
-
Is it okay for
non-pregnant women or men to enjoy it?
Of course, they can! The treats are suitable for all ages and they didn’t contain any mysterious estrogens. The bakes contain energy from oats and omega-3 from flax. This makes the bakes one of the most effective foods to improve lactation.
-
Who should avoid
these
cookies?
While it is a viable option for everyone from all age groups, these tasty bakes are not suitable for pregnant ladies. However, you can enjoy these treats right after delivery!
Plus, it should be noted that while the lactation treats do provide nutritional goodness and valuable lactation support for breastfeeding mothers, it is not intended to replace professional lactation support. These lactation boosting foods are meant to be consumed in tandem with best breastfeeding practices or while under the care of lactation professionals.
-
Will Singapore
Lactation
Bakes products solve my issues of low supply?
While SLB products do provide nutrition that is essential for lactation, they strongly believe there is NO substitute for best breastfeeding practices. That includes feeding on demand, correct latching, skin-to-skin and a good counsel from a professional lactation consultant, La Leche League leader, or meeting with local breastfeeding support groups to get you and your baby off to the strongest start possible.
-
How can SLB
products
help me as a breastfeeding mom?
The good news is that their lactation bakes are the perfect nursing solution to your active lifestyle! The bakes are specially crafted to meet your needs by supplying a rich amount of trace minerals and essential B vitamins to your body. This will be handy as these nutrients would aid you in fending off postpartum depression, improving immunity, and beautifying hair, nails and skins.
Besides, the ground flax in their products provides important Omega-3 fatty acids which can be supplied to your newborn through your breast milk. The lactation bakes are great for you as they provide healthy extra breastfeeding calories. But that is not all, these bakes are also great for a growth spurt, stress, exhaustion, sickness, travel and even as an energy booster after a long day from work. This makes their bakes one of the best lactation meals you can get!
-
When is the best
time
to eat these cookies?
Preferably, as soon as possible! A lot of mommies get these treats days before their delivery so that they can enjoy them right after delivery!
-
Can I share these
lactation bakes with my children?
Yes, you can! Your cute snacking toddler will be thankful for it. Plus, the treats promote good brain and physical growth. Don’t be surprised if those yummies vanish without a trace in your home!
-
How much of a
milk
boost can I expect after regular consumption of SLB cookies?
There is no clear answer to this as the effects of these bakes vary according to each individual. It may take a few days before you notice a boost in supply, but it may also make you a much shorter time! These lactation bakes would help stimulate your let down sensation through various nutrients and natural goodness contained in the treats.
-
Are there any
methods
of handling or storage that I should know about?
